Veranda Repairs is the recent project completed by Great Raven, addressing the issue of glass panels shifting under snow load due to poor design and panel retainers. The project involved removing the glass panels and rotting cedar, and replacing the lumber with custom grooved 4" by 4"'s to hold the panels, as well as additional support to prevent bowing. The project also included laminating the glass with safety film and adding a full length, 'milled-on-site' 2" by 6" cedar fascia to the veranda to ensure the glass doesn't shift, and giving it long-lasting stability and safety.
